First day in Florida (without luggage)

The trip went well, flights on time. United's "coach" class seating areas are definitely shrinking. I had more room on the small jet from CWA to O'Hare than Airbus to Tampa.

I arrived on time, made my way to baggage claim area just to find that my luggage was left behind in Chicago. I filed my report and went to find the shuttle to the rental car company. That part went smoothly...

I picked a car like Ugly's, just the color of Ron's Trailblazer. So glad it didn't end up being a PT Cruiser or a Volkswagen.

So to make myself feel better this morning, our first stop on the way to buy a change of clothes was Starbucks.

Our next stop on the way to buy a change of clothes was Cracker Barrel for brunch.

I picked up some clothes so I could go back to Randee's to take a shower and try to freshen up. I was glad I had a few makeup items I threw in my purse yesterday so I could freshen up after work. So today I'm running around lipstick and foundation, my hair is in ruins as Randee nor Melissa own a blow dryer or curling iron, or even hair spray. I'd wear a hat, but then I'd have to go buy one, besides, it's about 80 out today, don't need to wear a hat.

Our next stop was downtown St. Petersburg by the Pier. Wandered around, sat by the bay...

then we stopped back at Randee's to call the airline again... then headed out to Madiera Beach/John's Pass with
the intention to go on a sunset cruise. Well, they cancelled the cruise as there were not enough people to go out today.

We spent a little time on John's Pass down there and ate dinner at Bubba Gump's.

Now we are back at Randee's. I challenged Terrell to some games on the Wii, but now I think I want to take a walk and maybe stop at Applebee's along the way and have a few.

My luggage just arrived, at precisely 8:20 p.m
